International relations
As part of NIE's ongoing work touring and producing internationally, we have developed professional industry seminars and events exploring international working.These have included:
Seminar - January 2011 (Norway)
Taking place during NIE´s Anniversary Festival Vol.I on 14 January, 2011 in Oslo, Norway, this event explored international theatre making. Speakers were: Christina Friis (The Norwegian Association for Performing Arts), Ph.Dr. Jana Pilátová (author of the book Grotowskis Nest), Brigitte Diethier (Artistic Director for Junges Ensemble, Stuttgart), Johan de Smet (Artistic Director of Kopergietery, Belgium) and Stefan Rabl (Artistic Director of Dschungelwien). The seminar was led by NIE Associate Director Kjell Moberg.
3 Day conference - January 2009 (Norway)
NIE hosted a 3-day conference on European theatre for young audiences and methods of collaboration. The event was held in Kanonhallen, Oslo and included the Norwegian opening of Everything Falls Apart. The conference included round table discussions, presentations and guest speakers.
There were participating delegates from Norway, England, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Belgium and Denmark and a mixture of building-based venues, festivals and theatre companies which included:
