Pim Fortuyn was a far-right Dutch political leader. Theo Van Gogh was a left-wing anarchist film-maker. Both were murdered by extremists. Pim and Theo will explore the opposing but oddly linked lives of these key Dutch political figures and ask what their careers and deaths can tell us about our times. This show is inspired by Ian Buruma’s book The Limits of Tolerance.
This show will be a collaboration with Odsherred Theater in Denmark, Stiflesen NIE, and Korjammo and will be created by Alex Byrne and Odsherred's own ensemble. Funded by Arts Council England and with the support of the Culture Programme of the European Union.
The show will premiere in Norway and Denmark in October- November 2013 with UK and European touring in Spring 2014.
