Everything Falls Apart
'One of the best productions I've ever seen. The ending brought me to tears'
NEXT PERFORMANCE: 29 August, Helsinki
Exposing hidden stories from the murky depths of New Europe’s black economy, join us on the London Underground for a compelling clash of cultures and the explosive end of two dangerous journeys.
Performed in a promenade style and featuring NIE’s trademark mix of physical theatre and live music, this show explores the stories behind the headlines and the place where they collide.
Everything Falls Apart follows the story of two boys smuggled into the UK hoping for a better life and one man’s focused pursuit of justice at all costs.
In November 2007 we undertook a two-week research and development residency at The Lyric Hammersmith to begin exploring the themes for our new show, Everything Falls Apart. Since then, we have developed this show at Odsherred Theater, Denmark and at The Junction, Cambridge.
We presented three nights as part of the Lyric First programme at The Lyric Hammersmith and opened the show at The Junction, Cambridge in November 2008.
The show had its Norway opening on the 19 January 2009 at Kanonhallen, Oslo as part of an NIE curated festival week of peformances and seminars.
It was performed on the 16 and 17 June as part of the PIT festival in Norway with festival dates in the autumn as part of the SZENE BUNTE WÄHNE festival in Horn (Austria) and Jindrichuv Hradec (Czech Republic) on the 25 (Austria) and 30 September (Czech Republic). Everything Falls Apart also had its Czech premiere on the 28 September at La Fabrika in Prague. For more details, please visit the schedule page.
