'I loved the energy. I felt like a child pretending again-it was great'
Work has begun on a new show based on the famous Jules Verne novel Around The World in 80 Days. In December 2009 we undertook 2 weeks of research and development at BAC in London. As part of this we also performed 2 scratch performances hot on the heels of the development time.
About The Show
London 1872: after accepting a £20,000 wager from his friends at the Reform Club, Phileas Fogg embarks on the audacious plan to navigate the world in 80 days by any means possible. Armed with a bag of money and his faithful servant, Phileas takes on this seemingly impossible challenge.
Combining NIE’s trademark physical comedy, visual theatre, live music and European ensemble, this is a high speed, mad-cap worldwide adventure for NIE
