Our local UK project Tales From the Edge of Town was in the midst of preparing for production when lockdown began. However, we didn’t let this stop us!
Recently we were able to send in our project recovery team who are working with children on the Eastern edges of Cambridge.
You can now join them on their first adventure here as they explore a portal that has opened in Cherry Hinton Park!
Explore the website and take part in our online activities:
1. Write your own story about what happened when you travelled through the portal
2. Imagine a place/object/building that could be a portal and draw a picture of it
3. Write a poem or lyrics about what happened

You can send in what you create to either emily.blackwell@nie-theatre.com or our office at Cambridge Junction, CB1 7GX. All replies that include contact details will receive a personal response to their submissions and a ticket to see a show based on the poems, stories and pictures we receive.

In responding you consent for your creative materials to be used in the show and you consent to for your details to be used for correspondence and organising a ticket to see the show. All contact information received will be used only for responding to this mission and organising tickets to a show. All personal information will be securely destroyed after this. For full information on our Data Protection policy please visit the website or we can send you a copy.

Thank you to Cherry Hinton and The Galfrid primary schools for taking part in the project and sharing their stories with us.
Tales From the Edge of Town is supported by Arts Council England, Cambridge City Council, National Lottery Awards For All, Marshall Community First Fund and Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.
